Hamburger Barbecue
Oh, this is good stuff. And super simple to make! I browned up a few pounds of ground beef and made a big batch of it. We ate some sandwiches right away, then divided it up and popped the leftover barbecue into the freezer. It’s a great thing to have around for a quick weekend lunch. Open a bag of chips, add some raw veggies and dip, and enjoy.

Recipe: Hamburger Barbecue
(from Dani’s mother-in-law, Mary)
1 lb. ground beef
1/2 onion, diced
3 shakes of Worcestershire sauce
1/4 c. white vinegar
1/2 c. light brown sugar
1/2 c. ketchup
salt and pepper, to taste
Brown ground beef and onion; drain grease. Add remaining ingredients and simmer for 1 hour.

This sounds good and tangy! We love these kind of meals in the summertime and have even packed it up for picnics. I love these homemade recipes but Himself will only eat Manwich! My MIL makes the best Sloppy Joes and I got her recipe and Himself still wants the can. I’ll have to try this one out on him. Hehe!
Oh yums, this looks easy enough for me to try, and definitely delish enough for the burger-loving mister to bite on!
ya know, i eat a lot of chicken bbq and pork bbq and yes, even shredded beef bbq from time to time, but i’ve never had ground beef bbq. seems like a natural fit–great idea!

This made the greatest sloppy-joe ever! The best part was I knew exactly what was going into my food instead of pouring mystery meat out of a can.
