A little about me

This blog started out because my sister, Bea, had the bright idea to blog about the things we talk about together.  Things like trying to be greener, reading, crafts, being moms, etc.  The only problem with this is that she petered out on me pretty darn quick.  Her and her big ideas.  {insert eye rolling here}

So here I am.  Alone.  Maybe she’ll guest-blog once in a while, but for most of the time you’ll just get to know me.  I’ll share my recipes, my books, my baby steps toward going green, and an ocassional story about my kids.   Hope you’ll stick around longer than Bea did!   {me cracking myself up}

    Hiya! Love the concept. My sister lives in NYC and I’m in Chicago, and we talk on the phone every day…if not multiple times a day! Isn’t it great to have a built-in best friend? :)

    Oh what a lovely idea. My sister and i each have our own blog–both about food too. Of course she was lazy ;) and dropped it for a while and has recently come back so I suppose we would have killed each other had we tried something like this, but still. Love the concept!

    Oh – you made me laugh. As you can tell, Bea has been AWOL for some time now so it’s been just like having my own blog! Sisters! : )

    Happy Tummy, my sisters and I talk constantly too and Bea and I kept wondering if anyone else cares about trying to be greener or good recipes or whatever. So here we are. : )

    I don’t have sisters or even any children at home any more but i do live in PA (the Poconos, maybe you’ve heard of it) and I love to cook and especially bake. A mutual friend pointed out this blog to me and i can’t wait to try some of the recipes and maybe even pass along some of my own. It’s a great idea. Thanks for doing this.

    Thank you for your suggestion to use my Peanut Butter M&M’s on your saltine cookies, so far, yours has been the best! They look dynamite. I have enjoyed poking around your blog. Fantastic!

    I didn’t realize that Bea had abandoned you. No worries. The blog is awesome. I love it!
    BTW, I meant to say: sorry for nagging you about the scrapbooking! I didn’t realize I was doing that. This happens to me all the time. I have a little control freak side to my personality (well, some might say not so little).
    Truth is, when the urge finally reaches you, you’ll do it, but that kind of stuff, you just have to FEEL it to do it. I know when my mojo’s gone there is nothing that could make me do a page. Then again, the last time my urge to SB was gone what got me back was that I had committed to do my sister’s wedding album, and she was pressuring me to get it done. Hmmm, so maybe nagging does work… . LOL don’t worry, when it’s time it’s time. And you’ll love it when you do.
    In the meantime, I am adoring your posts on food and the odd other topic.

    I randomly discovered your blog. And might I say what a refreshing surprise! It’s only 10am here and I am already thinking about all the yummy recipes. What I like about all your recipes is that they are not these 10 step difficult things that I try to cook but fail because lets face it… I’m not the best cook. But I do rock the cute pink apron any time I get the chance.

    Keep up the good work and fabulous pictures!
